Health Risks:
- Pets: Dogs consuming the affected food developed megaesophagus, a condition where the esophagus enlarges and loses its ability to move food to the stomach
- Human: No direct human health risks, but pet owners were advised to handle the food with care
Actions:
- Stop Use: Immediately discontinue feeding the affected product to pets
- Disposal: Dispose of the product safely or return it to the place of purchase for a refund

Australien citizens can ask the vet to lodge a report on PetFAST if you both agree that pet food or treats may be implicated. PetFAST is a joint initiative of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) and the Pet Food Industry Association of Australia (PFIAA).
